Streaking lights at Tidal Basin
Goal was to get picture unlike any I have seen of Jefferson Memorial. My gorillapod was wrapped around Cherry Blossom tree to get this picture. I wanted get the memorial with light streaks. Manual Focus was used on my 7D to get the memorial sharp

WWII and Lincoln Memorial
Goal here was to use the Maximum zoom to get the WWII memorial wall of stars and Lincoln Memorial. There was guy that actually standing still while counting the stars during this 15 second exposure. Each star represents 100 Americans that died in WWII

This shot was taken right of the bike trail were planes are landing. The shot was taken within an hour of sunset so I could get a nice blue sky.

Twilight on the Potomac

Biked down to the Potomac River yesterday right after Sunset. I wanted to get a Twilight sky with Memorial Bridge, Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. In the Second image my bike is in the picture since I forgot to move it. I was experimenting with light trails to see how they would turn out.

Lights on Pennsylvania Ave

It was in the high 80s yesterday, so I decide to bike to DC again via Fort Myer and Arlington Cemetery. My goal was to shoot some skateboard pictures and get streaking lights on Pennsylvania Ave while the Sky was still Twilight blue. For the Capital Photo I place my Gorillapod on metal post in middle of Pennsylvania Ave and tried to time when the lights turned green. I than tuned around and took a picture of the Newseum.

Biking in G'town

The weather was warm, so I decide to bike to DC and get some pictures of the Georgetown area. Started at the exorcist stairs, Key Bride and than some long exposures with my GorillaPod wrapped around Key Bridge railings. It was a great day to bike and take some pictures.

Circular Polarizer was used at exorcist stairs to create the Ghost Effect and longer exposure.
